Water tank

What is the Capacity of water tanks? 

The capacity of the clean water tank is about 4.05L and the capacity of the dirty water tank is about 4.05L.

 

Activation

How to Activate the robot?

Please scan the QR code with any app to get a random four-digit activation code. After entering the activation code on the base station, you will get into the base station homepage.

 

How to download the App?

There are three ways to download the Narwal app:

1. Scan the QR code in the manual to download the app.

2. After connecting the robot to the wifi on the base station, scan the QR code on the base station to download the app.

3. Search ""Narwal"" on App Store or Google Play Store

 

Can the Freo be operated even when not at home?

As long as Freo is connected to the network the Narwal app can be used to operate Freo anytime, anywhere.

Note: If there are some areas that you don't want Freo to clean, please set them as no-go zones. And please be careful not to leave anything on the floor that Freo cannot clean/may affect Freo's performance. 

 

How to connect the Network on the app?

1. Click on ""add a new device"" in the app and select "Narwal Freo". A notification about Bluetooth & Location permission will appear. Please agree to the relevant permissions
2. Please turn on the robot and place it in the base station
3. Connect to the robot's Bluetooth signal
4. Enter WiFi information
5. The app will change to a page that shows that the robot is connecting

We are sorry to say that this function is not currently available, it is only available on the Chinese version. We'll introduce this feature once it is available.

 

Base Station

What are the Functions on Base Station Screen?

1. Brightness: 0 - 100, adjust the screen brightness
2. Volume: 0 - 100, adjust the base station volume
3. Network: Use the app to scan the QR code for network connection. Or enter the WiFi information to connect the robot to the network through the base station.
4. Cleaner: Turn on/off automatically adding cleaner
5. Carpet cleaning: Turn on/off the carpet cleaning function
6. Child Lock: Turn on/off the child lock, after turning on this function, please slide the screen to unlock
7. Do Not Disturb: Turn on or off Do Not Disturb, some lights and sound effects will be turned off in this mode
8. Drying: Adjust the drying mode, smart-silent-strong
9.Language: Adjust the base station language: Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean
10. Remap: Control the robot to rebuild the map
11. Bind a new device: Bind a new robot with the base station
12. Firmware version: Click to view the current firmware version
13. Help Center: Click to scan the code to view the help center
14. Standby: Turn on this option, the robot will turn off after fully charged

 

How to reset the base station?

There is a reset button on the base station cover. Please unplug the station for 30s, press the reset button(with a pin) and plug the station back in; after the screen lights up, remove the pin. If the screen lights up normally with the startup animation, then the reset has been successful. After resetting the base station, please connect the base station to the network again. 

 

Battery

What is the Charging time and battery capacity?

Narwal Freo's battery capacity is 5200mAH, it takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge.


What is the Energy & battery life?

Freo has a variety of different mopping and vacuuming modes, so the energy usage and battery life will vary based on what kind of cleaning is selected.

 

What is the Voltage, current, and power?

The input voltage of Narwal Freo is 100-240V-50/60Hz.

Carpet Cleaning

Is it possible to identify the carpet?

Narwal Freo comes with a carpet sensor that can detect carpeted areas. You can select the carpet cleaning option to decide how the robot cleans the carpet.


Kindly note: Freo only works on low-pile carpets (< ¼ inch). 

 

Cleaning Area

What is the Maximum cleaning area?

Freo can mop up to 150 square meters/1615 square feet twice with a full charge and a full clean water tank.

 

Cleaning Modes

What is the Multiple cleaning modes?

Freo has 5 default cleaning modes: Freo mode, Vacuum, Mop, Vacuum and Mop, Vacuum then Mop.

In addition to 5 default cleaning modes, you can also customize the setting of cleaning frequency, sequence, suction, and humidity in these modes (except Freo mode). Add them to the base station, so you can get Freo to quickly perform the cleaning mode you want. (Up to 8 cleaning modes can be added to your app and base station.)

 

Floors

What kind of floors can Narwal Freo work on?

Our robots can be used on wood floors, laminate floors, and other smooth hard floors such as tiles and marble. If your floor surface is rough and uneven, then we do not recommend using a robot for cleaning. Also, Freo can adjust the pressure and wetness for different floor types: Wood floor [7N + Dry], Hard floor [12N + Normal].

 

Intelligent Heat Drying

What is the drying temperature and is it safe?

The drying temperature is 40°C. There are 2 outlets with 40°C hot air in the base station to dry the mop; this temperature is within a safe range. At the same time, the base station has protection against overheating. Temperature is monitored in real-time, and if the temperature is abnormal, the fuse wire will break to prevent safety accidents. 

 

Maintainence

Please wipe the surface and sensors with a moist towel/soft cloth regularly

Note: The robot comes equipped with an internal battery, so please do not rinse the robot which might cause malfunctions or damage. 

 

Map

Is it possible to store multiple maps?

Yes, up to 4 maps in Narwal Freo App.

 

Obstacle

What is the maximum obstacle crossing height?

The maximum obstacle crossing height of Freo is about 2cm/0.78inch, as long as your thresholds are < 2cm/0.78inch, the robot can perform cleaning tasks without any issues.

 

Pet

Can it handle pet waste?

Unfortunately, Narwal Freo is currently unable to recognize, avoid, and clean up pet feces, vomit and other large litter, as it may cause the robot's vacuum opening to get blocked and malfunction.

 

Robot

Does Narwal Freo switch automatically between Mopping and Vacuuming?

Yes, Freo is compatible with vacuum modules and mopping modules, and the corresponding modules will be automatically applied in different vacuuming/mopping modes.

 

Does Narwal Freo clean the mop pads automatically? Can mops be removed separately for cleaning?

The robot recognizes dirty mops and returns to the base station for cleaning. It is not necessary to clean the mops by yourself, but mops can be removed and cleaned manually if desired. 

 

Scheduling

Can Narwal Freo Schedule plan?

Yes, You can set a scheduled cleaning plan on the app; just select the specific timezone, time, when it repeats, and execute plan on the app, then save it.

 

Sensor

How does the robot identify/avoid objects and people?

Freo will slow down when it detects people, pets, objects, or the edges of furniture. If the object cannot be detected by sensors, the bumper will avoid it after touching it. 

 

Can Freo work in the dark?

Yes, Freo uses lasers to create a map and will need light during the mapping process. It will then use lidar to automatically move around rooms. Lidar can work normally in the dark, however dark objects may weaken the signal received by the infrared sensor, and the obstacle avoidance effect may decrease to a certain extent. 

 

Will the Lidar be damaged?

Generally, the radar won't malfunction on its own. Most radar malfunctions are caused by the radar being hit by an external force which has a negative impact on the radar's function. To ensure that your robot works well for as long as possible, we would recommend that users minimize the risk of the radar being hit and damaged. 

 

Sound

What is the Noise range?

We emphasize noise reduction in our robots' design and work hard to improve the cleaning ability while keeping noise levels low for the best user experience, the noise generated by the robot is about 43-64 dB. 

 

Suction

What is the Suction power & advantage?

The suction power of Narwal Freo is 3000Pa. 3000Pa suction power can meet the needs of daily vacuuming, and the upgraded roller brush also greatly improves cleaning efficiency.

 

Why the Suction is not powerful?

3000Pa suction is enough for everyday cleaning situations while also keeping the vacuuming noise under 63dB. The noise generated by excessive suction can be irritating, so Narwal continues to balance suction power with noise level for a better experience.

 

How to adjust the suction power?

1. You can select the suction you would like to set when you start a cleaning task. (Normal - Power - Quiet)
2. You can also change the suction power when the robot is vacuuming. (Normal - Power - Super Powerful - Quiet) 

 

Touch Screen

What is the touch screen on the base station?

It is a Smart LCD touch screen with a 480Pi*480Pi and a diameter of 13.2cm/5.2 inches on the base station.

 

Trade in

Can I trade in?

We appreciate your interest in Narwal Freo, but we are sorry that we don't have a program to trade in for Freo, please follow our page and website for the newest information.

1 Year local warranty is provided against all manufacturer defects.
